I have major problems sleeping. Due to my back injury, I have back spasms if I lay on my back, and I have uncontrollable leg jerks some nights.

I have always been a twister & turner, so I wake up and the sheet is usually bunched up in the middle of the bed

do you take any medicine for that rog? the leg jerks? you probably have what's called PLMS... periodic limb movement syndrome... that's what it's called when you sleep... when you're awake it's restless leg syndrome... crawly legs that you can't keep still... anyway, certain medications can cause it, or sometimes it's a sign of kidney trouble, because it has to do with an imbalance or poor kidney function.... antidepressants can cause it... etc... they can give you medicine to try to help control it, so that it doesn't wake you up at night... i see it all the time... i also have it, lol... ask don, hahaha, i heard about that, i kick and thrash, and turn over... i had a sleep study a year or two ago... and i woke myself up a lot during the night kicking my legs... i also have a very slight case of sleep apnea... which has seemed to be acting up more so lately, probably because of the weight gain due to taking corticosteroids every day for whatever allergic reaction i'm having... putting on weight doesn't help, for sure... if you are a tosser and turner, that is one of the big signs that you may have sleep apnea... if you snore... you probably have it to a certain degree... which requires a CPAP machine (i can't preach about that, well sure i can, lol, but i don't use mine... i can't tolerate it... *shrugs*... some people can, and some people can't... it winds up in the floor anyways, so what's the point... *L*) but back to the legs, if you don't want to take medicine, tonic water will help a little if you drink it... sounds loopy, but it's true.. tonic water has a quinine derivitive in it, and supposedly helps calm the leg movements somewhat... i've meant to try it for a long time now, but you know... sometimes you just don't get around to things... lol.... if you try it, lemme know if it helps...
